Our mission
Closer to the Father exists to bring people to Jesus and closer to the Father. We believe a few honest minutes with God each day can change a life. The YouTube channel offers guided prayers and daily devotionals. This site is where the community meets: to ask for prayer, to pray for each other, and to thank God together when He answers.
Why it is free
Prayer should never have a price tag. Jesus freely gave, so we freely give. There are no ads, no paid memberships, and no selling of your information. The site runs on free tools so it can stay online for years without asking you for anything.
Who runs it
Closer to the Father is run by the same small team behind the YouTube channel. We are ordinary believers who love Jesus, love prayer, and want to help people spend a few honest minutes with God every day. Every request that comes through this site is read by a real person and prayed over.
What we believe
- The Bible is the inspired, trustworthy Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.
- There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is the only way to the Father.
- Salvation is a free gift received by grace through faith in Jesus, not earned by our works.
- The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, helping us pray, grow, and follow Jesus.
