Bible Verses for Healing

Ask boldly, trust fully, and let God be God.

Below are 6 verses for healing. Read each one slowly, then use the short note under it to turn the verse into a prayer. You do not need special words. Just be honest with God.

  1. Jeremiah 17:14

    “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.”

    How to pray it: Pray it word for word, then name the part of you that needs healing.

  2. Psalm 103:2-3

    “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases.”

    How to pray it: Start by remembering what He has already done, then ask for what you need now.

  3. James 5:14-15

    “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

    How to pray it: Ask God for healing, and ask your church to pray with you too.

  4. Isaiah 53:5

    “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”

    How to pray it: Thank Jesus for what He carried for you, and rest your need on His finished work.

  5. Psalm 30:2

    “O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.”

    How to pray it: Cry out plainly for help, and thank Him ahead of time for hearing you.

  6. 3 John 2

    “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.”

    How to pray it: Use this to pray for someone else's body and soul by name.
