Bible Verses About God's Provision

Your Father knows what you need before you ask.

Below are 6 verses for God's provision. Read each one slowly, then use the short note under it to turn the verse into a prayer. You do not need special words. Just be honest with God.

  1. Philippians 4:19

    “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

    How to pray it: List your real needs, not your wants, and hand the list to Him.

  2. Matthew 6:31-33

    “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

    How to pray it: Ask God what seeking Him first looks like today, then trust Him with the rest.

  3. Psalm 23:1

    “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

    How to pray it: Say it slowly, and thank Him for one way He has provided this week.

  4. Matthew 6:11

    “Give us this day our daily bread.”

    How to pray it: Ask for today's provision only, and let that be enough.

  5. 2 Corinthians 9:8

    “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

    How to pray it: Ask God for enough to meet your needs and to bless someone else.

  6. Hebrews 13:5

    “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

    How to pray it: Ask God for contentment, and thank Him that He will never leave you.
